Yey! Finally I can get into the fun stuff!

I think I have the minimum basic systems in place to start designing the game on top of them. I might been accumulating a bit of technical debt but I'm prioritizing having a full core gameplay loop first to continue exploring what makes the game fun and then going back and have a better code base to avoid disasters later in development.

Fixed Bugs

However, I payed already some of the technical debt mentioned and fixed some bugs present in the build referenced in the previous devlog.

Dialogue System

As mentioned before, I implemented the basics of a dialogue system as well as the interactions with NPCs no matter if they trigger a battle or just have something to say.

Enabled enemies

Three of the enemy types that I came with from the jam are now enabled (they were already coded but were not accessible).  I know that what makes them unique is still not clear just by picking up the game and playing it but that's something  I'll  be working. I'll start giving the game structure and explain everything so I can do  more serious gameplay testing.

What's Next?

I want to start prototyping the explorable areas and replace the green cube with an actual 3D model (which will still be a placeholder) to make it more interesting which will make it more easy for me to create thumbnails that catch people's eye for these blogs lol.

Extra Talk

I think I haven't mentioned it but my goal with this game is for it to be 100% web native and that you can play it either on your smartphone or PC using your browser, for that reason I have been adding support for touch and keyboard input. I plan to add controller support too but that will be later if the game starts getting some attention.

Support

As always if you wish to support the development of the game you can donate any amount of dogecoin to this wallet:
